Accounts Administrator

Are you an experienced Accounts professional looking for your next career move? We’re delighted to be working with our client — a well-established and growing business that supplies and maintains commercial catering and laundry equipment for a wide range of public and private sector clients across the catering, hospitality, and laundry industries.

Due to continued success and business expansion, they’re now seeking a talented, full-time Accounts Administrator to join their friendly and dedicated team based in Cullybackey, Ballymena.

 

The Role

As an Accounts Administrator, you’ll play an integral part in the day-to-day running of the company’s financial operations. This is a busy and varied role, ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership, thrives on accuracy, and loves working as part of a close-knit team.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain Sales and Purchase Ledgers
  • Carry out bank reconciliations and reconcile customer and supplier payments
  • Raise invoices and produce customer statements
  • Handle customer and supplier queries with professionalism and efficiency
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns
  • Produce financial reports to support analysis and decision-making
  • Manage credit control and resolve payment queries
  • Update stock levels within the accounts system
  • Work confidently with QuickBooks to ensure smooth financial processes
  • Assist with payroll and timesheet management

 

About You

We’re looking for someone who’s detail-driven, organised, and confident working in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be comfortable taking initiative and enjoy being part of a team that values collaboration and accuracy.

What You’ll Need

  • At least 2 years’ experience in an accounts role, ideally within an SME
  • Proven experience using QuickBooks or SAGE (minimum 2 years)
  • Strong IT skills and a good working knowledge of various software packages
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
  • A positive, proactive attitude and great communication skills
